Homemade Smartfruit Ice Cream

Happy Friday everyone! We are literally melting here in NYC, so we came up with a vegan coconut-based ice cream recipe to cool us down. What’s nice about this delicious 100% fruit Blend Homemade Smartfruit Ice Cream (besides being creamy and absolutely delicious) is that you can substitute the flavor simply by switching your Smartfruit base. For this recipe we used our delicious Smartfruit Banana. Each 100% Fruit Blend Homemade Smartfruit Ice Cream contains a whole bunch of rich and creamy all-natural non-GMO bananas that are picked in small batches where we only select the best and freshest raw ingredients. Lastly, we boosted this delicious treat with Oat fiber which promotes easy digestion and as well as good heart health.

We’ve used Smartfruit Sunny Banana in this recipe. For a plain vanilla ice cream, use 1/2 cup of organic sugar, agave or maple syrup instead of Smartfruit.


  • 2 cans (14 oz ea) Coconut Cream
  • ½ cup Your Favorite Smartfruit*
  • 1 Pinch Sea Salt
  • 1 Vanilla Bean Pod (split & scraped)
  •  2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Belgium Waffle or Pancakes
  • Fresh Blueberries & Raspberries

🍶 Preparation:

  1. The day or night before, place your ice cream churning bowl in the freezer to properly chill.
  2. The following day add coconut milk, Smartfruit (or organic sugar / maple / agave), sea salt, scraped vanilla bean and vanilla extract to a high-speed blender and blend on high until completely creamy and smooth for 1-2 minutes to fully dissolve. Add more Smartfruit if it needs more sweetness/flavor, or more vanilla if it needs more vanilla flavor.
